Van Marsalis has lived and played music in Stillwater for more than 6 years. Although he showcases his songs live, Van's true drive is in his songwriting. Finishing his fourth album "It's Never Too Late,” with Nathan Clewell and Red Door Studios, Van has acquired a taste for many types of music including the works of Robert Earl Keen, Nirvana, Green Day, Johnny Cash and Ryan Adams. His music is no way classified except to say that it is original. The title track from his new album is the result of a collaboration between himself, Bob Childers and Jerry Payne from No Justice. Van also wrote "Whiskey Avenue" with Childers featured on Binky Records' Restless Spirit, A Tribute to the Music of Bob Childers.
